Armand Henri Leroux was born in Bordeaux on July 31st 1948. As a pupil of his father Claude LEROUX, he learned very young the art of drawing. At the age of 15, his father realized his exceptional artistic gift and decided to encourage him to be an oil painter.
Later he joined the "Beaux Arts" school and became a talented pupil and friend of the well-known art teacher Gaston Marty., who is famous for his theater sets for the Opéra de Paris and the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.
During his days he wanders alone along the docks of Bordeaux painting the architectural motifs of the "Empire" stone bridge on the river Garonne.
One of his predecessors on the same subject was André Lhote. Later he became one of the most assiduous painters of the banks of the river Seine and the street life scenes in Paris.
Leroux currently exhibits in Paris as well as in Bordeaux and Dordogne.
